Volunteer with Spottsville Community Fire Department

Every year on the 2nd Saturday in October our member cook up a huge supply of BURGOO!  If you are unfamiliar with the concept of Burgoo, it's Kentucky's most famous stew, usually made in huge kettles. Spottsville makes 4 of these kettles every year. Members of the department will begin serving "drive-thru" style at 11AM at the fire station. Gallon jugs (provided by the department) will be filled with Burgoo and sold at $25 each. If interested, please arrive early because these sell out rather quickly. Cars will line up beginning at the fire station. The line will go down Old 60 towards the Green River boat ramp.
